Stephen Curry dropped his 18th career playoff double-double to lead the warriors to the 1-0 series lead

After a sloppy start, the Warriors took a 17-point lead over the Mavericks in the first quarter. Dallas started to find offense, but the defense didn’t seem able to recover as it had in the regular season and the playoffs. Dallas couldn’t stop the Warriors from getting to the rim at will despite finding some offense. They entered the final frame down 88-69 after getting beat on cuts throughout the quarter.

As Dallas struggled to find offense and defense, they didn’t improve much in the final frame. Despite the Mavericks’ few attempts at a run, coach Kidd kept his starters on the court for longer than one might have expected, given the score. After both coaches cleared their benches, the Warriors won 112-87.
